Disappearing Stripes

DISAPPEARING STRIPES

This artwork is the result of my own Taronga zoo visit, locking eyes with this beauty was heart stopping. In 2014 I was lucky to win the Royal Doulton & UNSW Art and Design Award. This lead to an internship and a prototype series of Four artworks that were to be digitally printed onto plates, my concept was a collaboration with World Wildlife Fund sharing consumer effects on animal conservation and how an individual’s decision play a part in the outcome of our endangered species. For example the Sumatran Tiger and the 300 remain n the wild due to deforestation though palm oil and logging.

Sumatran Tiger – There are only 400 Sumatran Tigers left due to:
Deforestation of wood / uncertified palm oil planation / Poaching.
