From the Sawubona collection:
Sawubona is the Zulu greeting for “I see you,” meaning to see and be seen by another. Caring for orphaned rhinos and tracking some of the last wild dogs in South Africa, Jaimee found herself crying through the camera's viewfinder as she came face to face with animals she’d dreamed of since she was a little girl.
Each painting holds that moment when a wild animal looks back, one of Nature’s Beings meeting a human being, and you realise you’re the same. This is Art For Purpose: a way to keep them in sight, and in mind.
